Under the supervision of the Minister of Social Affairs and the Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, the International Center for the Advancement of Persons with Disabilities in Gammarth hosted the National Forum for the Promotion of Traditional Crafts and Entrepreneurship for Persons with Disabilities on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in partnership with:

This forum aims to:
✔Highlight the skills of artisans with disabilities and promote their unique creations.
✔Encourage responsible purchasing practices by integrating artisanal products into the supply chains of institutions.
✔Provide a practical alternative for institutions benefiting from employment inspection exemptions, allowing them to comply with their legal obligations by supporting handicrafts 🧵instead of direct employment🤝.
✔Explore financing and support mechanisms to promote entrepreneurship in this sector.
The forum was attended by more than 70 artisans with disabilities, in addition to specialized rehabilitation centers. The launch of the Handiartisan.com platform was also announced, enabling professional buyers to place their orders directly on site.
A future meeting was also announced, reflecting the joint efforts of the National Office for Traditional Crafts and Handisuccess to support artisans with special needs at the 41st Traditional Crafts Innovation Fair, scheduled to be held from May 23 to June 1, 2025, at the Exhibition Palace in El Karm.
